@Animosity4UandU it's funny... I would place money on the fact that, despite their own arrogance, no Frenchman has ever said "We French are too cocky... I'm going to root for the Americans." Such a ridiculous double standard.

I had watched two others french victory in Davis Cup, but anyone wasn't powerfully emotional as this one.

Faut dire aussi que Sampras était jeune et inexpérimenté et que les usa misaient tout sur lui. Peu après il est devenu le meilleur tenisman

Great moment for the French. I remember watching this on a Sunday morning in my apartment in what I believe was late November. I was a big Agassi fan, and didn't really like Sampras so much. So I was rootin for Forget.
