Me singing "Danny Boy", one of my favourite songs. It's so sad, but at the same time so uplifting. I hope you like it. Please COMMENT RATE SUBSCRIBE ♥

Lyrics:

Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen, and down the mountain side
The summer's gone, and all the roses falling
'Tis you, 'tis you, must go and I must bide.

But come ye back when summer's in the meadow
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow
'And I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow
Oh Danny boy, oh Danny boy, I love you so.

But if ye come, when all the flow'rs are dying
And I am dead, as dead I well may be
Ye'll come and find the place where I am lying
And kneel and say an "Ave" there for me.

And I shall hear, tho' soft you tread above me
And all my grave shall warmer, sweeter be
For you will bend and tell me that you love me
And I shall sleep in peace until you come to me.

Oh Danny boy, oh Danny boy, I love you so.

  • 4. DYNAMICS

You need to practice the crescendo and decrescendo a little more.

If you just perfect a few of the things I listed you could have people in tears like I did. I also practiced day and night for months to perfect the song so imagine a few weeks of practice. Other than that perfect.

  • I remember singing this song in 8th grade. Here is a few tips. 1. DONT RUSH

some of the words are held longer. Instead of 2 beats you only held them for 1. 2. Practice you high notes.

They sounded a little airy. 3. EMOTION

This song has a lot of emotion, I remember making my judges blush just cause the emotion.

  • Very good rendition----I've probably heard 200 versions, from my idol, Bing Crosby, to Paul Robeson, to Deanna Durbin, to Johnny Cash......and you are one fine singer with nice tone and enunciation. Hope you will record "Shenandoah," another heart-tugging folksong I truly enjoy and would believe your voice would be perfect for.

  • Very nice
