I searched for a camera for months and months that is compatible with my Canon HXA1 HDV and this camera totally does the trick. It took me sometime to learn how to change the settings to match the XHA1 and finally got it correct. This HV30 will be used as a stationary camera for weddings and I will work my HXA1 so I will now have 2 compatible cameras. I paid $300.00 for the HV30. Leave a comment on your own findings

  • @richierich12969 I just used to standard settings on the Canon, I did the white balance and thats all, I edited with Adobe Premiere Pro cs4 and did noting to video so its totally raw footage, I am not sure what the size of the file was. Are you thinking about getting one? If so go to Ebay and you can get one for 450-500 bucks. Make sure the person you are buying has 100% positive feedback. Any questions you have let me know..

  • what camera settings did you use and what final format for posting? Also, what was file size of final?
