these volvo engined lynxes also had the old MK1 gear boxes in, 29629 however had its first gear disabled to aviod pulling away so fast, it used to spring into action every now and then particularly on steep hills, i wish 29627 could of came to Sunderland for all those years, it was nice to have 29629 on the road but it wasnt a very good one compared to others, the gear box was absoloutley shot despite only having 3 gears and the inside was filthy, 29627 was in much better nick

thanks for that, 622 and 627 are now in south wales - though I believe 627 is withdrawn for spares for 622.

You're welcome. Sadly 629 which features in this video was sold for scrap October '08. :(

Built 1992 and originally new to Cleveland Transit who were later taken over by Stagecoach.

This is one of the small number of Lynxes that were fitted with Volvo engines.
