I find some of these comments perplexing. Freni is very good, but we have Maria Callas and Renata Tibaldi, who, in my opinion are at the very top of their class. Callas is the greatest soprano ever. You know, she could sing almost 3 octives and was a great dramatic soprano! Tibaldi has a pure, classic sound and was a favorite of Toscanini.
