This video is dedicated to the Donoho, Wicker, Sielken, Meeker, and O'Dowd families. This is my stepmother's family and they are very important to me. I always grew up feeling like I belonged to them, even though we aren't blood relatives. Sort of like I was a adopted. And since 2009, they've been hit really hard with the sting of death. But the good news is that, in Christ, death really has no sting! So this song is dedicated to my Grandpa Baldy, SM3 William H. Donoho, Sr. (Navy) who went home to the Lord on August 25, 2009, my Uncle Bill, NCC(SW) William H. Donoho, Jr. (Navy), who joined Grandpa on September 24, 2011, and my beautiful Grandma, Mrs. Doris Rae Donoho, who joined them this past weekend on January 21, 2012 at 6:05 am (PST). May the three of you find your rest with the Lord together. Forever and Ever. Amen.

If it looks a little like I'm lip syncing (I'm not)...I recorded the track thru GarageBand and then recorded video of myself in iMovie playing/singing (Yes, I am actually playing & singing) with the track going so the video and audio would sync up as close as possible. Then, I detached the audio from the video and replaced it with the track I created in GarageBand. Basically, everything you see and hear is me, but recorded in two different sessions so I wouldn't have to use the Macbook Pro's onboard mic.

Here are the Lyrics/Chords:

Verse 1: C F C
I know your life on earth was troubled C/E F C
And only you could know the pain C/E F C
You weren't afraid to face the devil G C
You were no stranger to the rain

Chorus: F C
So go rest high on that mountain F C
'Cause son your work on earth is done F C
Go to Heaven a shoutin'
F C G C
Love for the Father and the Son

Verse 2: C F C
Oh how we cried the day you left us
C/E F C
We gathered 'round your grave to grieve F C
Wish I could see the angels faces G C
When they hear your sweet voice sing

(Chorus)
