they almost did it last year. but due to the back to back away games, they couldn't. but it will probably happen this coming year or the year after that

That was awesome. At my high school football game we had a half time where some students broke into the box with the light and turned them on a off. Every one went wild there. I can only imagine how cool it was to be there

I thought that was true of the temporary lights on the east side during the west side construction, but they replaced them with permanent lights again. What I hear is that it's a safety/legal issue with having no lights for 55,000+ people. However, I am also hearing (I'm friends with a Goin' Band Assoc. board member) that they may relent on that in the near future. In the next few years, I think we COULD see the light show return, though it seems improbable.

Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the light show from I believe we did it in 1997, it was the star wars one and I believe it was the last light show.

I don't have a recording of it; though, I was there in the alumni band. The Goin' Band Association just released a DVD set with 60 years of the Goin' Band, so it should be in there.

What are the lights in the back (the colored ones) and what are the bright flashing lights at the end?

The bright lights at the end are flash cubes. This made for a cool effect and a nice timelapse picture.
