The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask - Oath to Order

My pick of Video Game Music of the Week for the week of June 21, 2008.

Now here's a game that had some amazing music. The Legend of Zelda often have a lot of musical themes in them, but Majora's Mask was probably the darkest in many aspects, and it's music reflected that. Dark sombre music set the tone of Link's second adventure on the Nintendo 64, as he struggled to save Termina from the twisted Skull Kid and the ever falling moon.

So I give you the Oath to Order. In my opinion, one of the best songs from what could be considered one of the best games ever made.

What if, on that day, all Majora's Mask fans that knew how to play instruments recorded themselves playing the Oath to Order, and it was all put together in a grand mash-up that would become the most epic piece of musical composition the world has ever seen?

THAT would be a satisfying day.

Just today I covered this song on my keyboard - check it out if you're curious! I played it a bit faster than usual since it sounds pretty lame when played slowly without strings and a choir... so I speed up a bit. Hope you like it! ;)

P.S.: Thanks very much for this compilation, the quality couldn't be much better and the music is, of course, one of the best from the Zelda franchise!
