I know this is late, but to make the statement "I'm Catholic and I vote for Obama" is like saying "I'm Catholic and I worship Budda"

It is similar because both actions automatically excommunicates you from being a Catholic.

Read your catechism for more info, it clearly states that if you support the procurement of an abortion, you excommunicate yourself from being Catholic.

I hope you realize this soon, if not already, and go to the Sacrament of Reconciliation if you really did vote for Obama

The Democrats have never voted for Abortion! They only support Pro-Choice. It was the 7 supreme court judges who voted to allow abortion in 1973, 4 RepbuliCONs all voted yes to allow abortion (thinking it'll reduce the hippies in the 1970), the 3 Democrats all said NO, but one of the 3 Democrat didn't want to vote, he said "it should be the decision by the people and not us".
