Hey Luc! can you tell me ,did you do a piece on resonance using a air tesla coil sorta hookup laid out horizontally? It had the a floating primary and then a tesla secondary and on the other end a second floating primary reciever coil. I saw it wks ago went to work duplicating from memorie "HAH!!!" and now have the set up minus refinment and the rest,,,and I can't find the vid!! Tickssss me off! I have such slow download capability here at home "the only avail in area, can ya help me?

I hate to question this but isint your input 120v at whatever milliamps, before the rectifier?? The meter reading around 50 volts is switched to the dc scale and is after the ac was rectified?? Doesent this effect your calculations??

Hi Luc, I have the circuit on paper, now I have to build it, I have been side tracked by an idea of running the 5hp engine I have, a morning of inspiration, I think I have cracked it, building the water fuel unit at the moment, nearly done, based on what I was doing before but applied to a piston engine, speek to you on skype when you have time

back 150w so all is possible, well done, try separating the two coils by shielding one from the other and see what happens to the calculations

Hi Can101276,
no! the 120v is going through a Variac before the meter. If you want more details, please read the Forum topic. The link is in the description box next to the video.

Hi everyone,
I have uploaded a new video, test 9 to which will demonstrate that my original setup was correctly measuring the current consumed by the circuit. Therefore I have cleaned up comments relating to meter error and so on.
Thank you for your understanding.

Hi Luc, nice set up and well documented, I do have concern for the accuracy of your input meter but on the other hand yop are showing a 25% increase in power in to out and without the heat energy consumption of the bulb and the two coils, which will heat up but is difficult to detect. I would imagine that with the two coils close together there is an inter reaction, they are radiating like a transmitter and receiver, like radio ham I am, we have seen 100w out and bounced around the world to get

Hi centraflow, Thanks for looking at this new video. Hard to believe! right! I'm going to try and prove it false by getting enough 9v batteries in series to make the 47v under no load and monitor the volts. I will then load the coils and if the volts don't drop and the caps charge then we have extra power at no cost of amps. That should make it indisputable at that point since the batteries in series will quickly show a voltage drop under load.
How's the spark circuit coming along?

Wow, it's getting busy around here.
Thank you all for your positive and supportive comments.
@Drevtoobe, I do appreciate your input and I do my honest best to give real results. Please be careful not to fill the comment slots too much.
I know meters are not always reliable and this is why I also added a bulb in series on the + of the supply side, so how do you explain that the bulb is not changing in intensity when the coil is connected?

Great stuff :)
If I understand it right, the input amp meter is connected on the AC side, but you use the DC side voltage in your calculations. Right? If so, then you should put an DC amp meter instead of the small bulb you had there so that you can calculate the input power from DC volts and DC amps. That should be better. Also, how is the other coil connected? Is it connected somewhere to the circuit or is it electrically completely isolated and just sitting there near the first coil?

Hi Jetijs,
The reason I monitor the amps from the 60Hz side is I know the meter will give an accurate reading at 60Hz and mostly because it is sine wave. However monitoring the the amps on the DC side when it is on off 350,000 times a second I don't think any meter will be accurate. Both coils are attached and in series.
