It was spontanious. I do not know this person and have not seen him since that day though I spoke with him briefly later. He continued to use his hand gestures and confrontational manner through the market and I wanted - rightly or wrongly - to keep him from being arrested.
I believe this Native American poet was suffering from schizophrenia. But his story and question leaves room for hope - maybe for all of us.

@richardhroth he was not suffering from schizophernia. he's suffering from to much fire water.Its sad i dont know why alot of our native americans are hooked on the bottle.Ive lived in northern AZ. lots of drunk navahos stumbling around town.Stayed in the Dakotas same shit different tribe.The buffalow are gone, the old ways are done, get your shit together and take care of your family. The gringos are not going back to europe anytime soon. Find a new way to live. Get off the system,be strong.

Its sad I dont know why alot of our lands immigrants are hooked on consumerism.Native's lived all over TurtleIsland for thousands of years. lots of new Immigrants stumbling around tearing up mother earth. Same shit everywhere. But, the buffalow are still there, the old ways still wait for our return. Get your shit together & take care of your people.Find a new way to live.Stop eating the planet.
