This computer is cute. I know it may sound strange, but it does.

AWSOME!!

The Performa 410 was my very first computer ever. Mine still works and is connected in the living room. Never got it online, but it was still good for essays, printshop deluxe, and games.

That can't be your main computer.

I just got a mac performa 450 a couple days ago. Had to get the monitor because it has the special monitor port thats not VGA so i got the monitor now but it is not apple brand. I got a joystick, keyboard, modem for dial up,now i will have to get the mouse yet but it does work good. It has a 120mb hard drive instead of 80mb and the ram has been upgraded but i have no clue yet how much it has.I think its 16mb.I will get a vid up but i don't have a mouse or the cable that connects keyboard to comp.

Sweet! I also had a joystick (a Gravis Mous Stick II), an Apple Color StyleWriter Pro (printer), and an Apple 600e CD drive on mine back when I used at as my main computer. (2001-03) It also had a Hayes Accura 14.4K modem on it. I still have all the stuff I just didn't get it all out when I made the video.

Flashback...I remember my very first computer was a Macintosh Performa 636CD. I loved it. I didn't stop using it until 1999 when there was absolutely nothing left that would run on a 68k processor running at 33 Mhz. That's great you have an Apple CRT that supports that ancient I/O.

I used the performa as my main computer until about 2003 when I got a Power Macintosh 5500. The 225Mhz PowerPC 603e and the 2GB hard drive were a BIG improvement over the 16Mhz 68030 and the 80MB hard drive the Performa had.

Why was it discontinued ?

I don't know why it was discontinued. I think maybe it was because there were other models just like it with different names.
