@bricmpt I know...your knowledge is far above mine...but please don't compare Mr. Jefferson's intent with what is being displayed by these people with no skin in the game. He didn't even think that non-landowners should be allowed to vote, much less align themselves with groups, (nazis and communists in this case) who would be dedicated to the destruction of the nation he helped found. You have a very bastardized idea of how this nation was founded much less built. Grow up.

@TNCelt1 Well, I think that educating you as to the mind frame and spirit of civil protest is beyond my humble capacity. May I suggest that you read some Thoreau (Walden, Civil Disobedience) he was a great American thinker. You might also research some of the quotes regarding rebellion made by Thomas Jefferson. As to "how" things are accomplished in American politics, all I can say is start with the Constitution and begin to study Amendments until you get a picture of what OUR govt is...

@bricmpt I am. I protest in this fashion rather than pooping on private property, spouting aimless communist bilge, and running paying customers off from other small businesses, (such as your own) who are trying to survive in lower manhattan. I would be interested, however, to know HOW you take "control" from corporations and give it back to humans, (whatever that means), without first giving it to the government who has the power to throw you in jail or shoot you. What's the method here?
-
@rogerd1955 I've listened to many "occupier" interviews, and a common thread is that they want control given to the government to redistribute and regulate exactly like these governments do. They also bring up Cuba as the example of how our health system ought to mirror. And if this group is going to intermingle and/or gain funding from CPUSA, nazi groups and the communist Chinese government, I'd like to know how my comparison is any more stupid than the tea party being called "terrorists"..

@TNCelt1 Um, yes I know what a corp is. I am a small business owner. Tell you what, you do what you think will help the country, I'll do what I think is right.
-
@bricmpt okay....please explain how you will give the control "back to HUMAN" control? Do you even understand what a corporation is? How about you start by not using products produced by corporations and pledge not to work for or with a corporation? And IF you do, you promise to then quit your job if your corporation makes "too much profit" in someone else's eyes? Why don't you "occupy" your local universities and demand that they return and deny any future corporate contributions?
-
@TNCelt1 Simple, take OUR country back to HUMAN control, not corporate control.
-
Take it back....to.....what? North Korea? Cuba? Where everything is "fair"?
@ TNCelt1 I have no problem with you disagreeing with the movement, but to equate a demonstration of democracy and ones right to assemble peacefully with North Korea or Cuba just seems stupid.
