i don't know how to explain it, but i feel like he sang this for one particular girl and no one else. the lyrics are vague, the idea is overused, but somehow he makes it so personal that we can't relate to it. there's this sense of directness in the message, like he is talking to just her, no one else. he is able to emphasize this "you and only you" feeling, which i think is wonderful.
