2010 State Hazard Mitigation Plan (SHMP)
Approved by FEMA on October 6, 2010 as an Enhanced State Mitigation Plan, the SHMP represents California's primary hazard mitigation guidance document and provides an updated and comprehensive description of the state's historical and current hazard analysis, mitigation strategies, goals and objectives. The SHMP reflects the state's commitment to reducing, preventing or eliminating potential risks and impacts of natural and human-caused disasters in keeping our families, homes, businesses, communities, and visitors to California, as safe as possible.
