the US should just impose a capital tax on anyone with a subscription to Harpers or Rolling Stone and call it a debt reduction tax. It would be about as fair an assessment as any as to who's responsible for the debt

@ThePurpleSeahorse we have a similiar sitituation in canada if you live in alberta which is canada's version of texas it can be real difficult in being a liberal, i always found it funny that conservatives are just fine with cuts to anybody else but them selves! i have a vid why famine i will send you be careful its for unicef but it is brutal so don't show kids, but if we want to live in a world comsumed by greed then we should take a good look at what that world looks like!

@487shawn "if possible get active with you local congressman or senator, only thru activism can things change..."
Thanks, but my local reps are as far right as they can be. I was dumb enough to move to Texas. I was involved in politics back north, volunteering for campaigns and doing activism on various issues. Down here my vote/voice damn near doesn't count in my district, but I speak up anyways. :(
There are progressives in hard right Texas! We're lonely.

@fenshwey Because their avarice knows no end
Lavishing billions on billionaires doesn't spur job growth. That whole theory isn't just a fantasy. It's a lie. Of course Wall Street, the banks and the other rich pricks who helped cause this mess won't need to share in the sacrifice. Any country that gouges the poor while throwing billions at oil cos. and an unwinnable, racist war on drugs isn't worth saving.
