An American girl (Garai) and her parents arrive in Cuba right before the Revolution breaks out. She meets a local boy (Luna) and enters a dance competition with him. Dancing and romance ensue through the trouble caused by Castro's forces.

    An original is an original... most of the time originals are always better. You're wrong to say it has the same plot.. it's actually pretty different. Overall, it was a good movie; it's not shit. The whole setting of the old Cuban times added a nice touch to it, of course the movie can't compare to dirty dancing 1, but still you should give it a chance... trust me you've seen movies that are worse this movie was nice, & the actors did a great job. Worth watching.
