@themack509 - Wrong! The sport just evolved, fighters just got better "technically", and are now learning more, using their skills to the best of their advantage, I like watching guys duke it out too, BUT what's wrong with the "hit and not be hit" mindset? You'd call Edgar's fights "boring"? He can fight, has a heart of a lion and is extremely skilled, it's not always about standing and trading shots to see how goes down first, it's about being good and winning.

i fucking hate it when people hate on bj! bj penn is the best fighter in mma history period! even anderson silva, wanderlei silva all the high profiled fighters will agree that bj penn is a TRUE FIGHTER. not like gsp or edgar. when bj's in the ring he brings it. edgar runs around trying to impress the judges like gsp. i gotta say ufcs best days were 4rm ufc 36 to ufc 107.all the fighters now a days are scared to take a ass whooping. chuck, rampage, silva, couture, henderson and franklin.

sorry edgar u won round 4 and 5 hands down. i watched this fight like 30 times. bj landed solid shots. and was controliing the octagon for round 1 threw 3. so honestly bj won the 1st fight. but edgar did win the 2nd. t hats 4 sure.

Read my post clearer and you will see that I likened them to Muhammad Ali and Sunni Liston. I understand game plans and strategies. I also understand that it worked better in the 2nd fight then the 1st. In the 1st fight he clearly ran without an attempting to try to win the fight. In the 2nd he did more. I know my stuff. I have 18 years of experience in the martial arts. I don't have to read anymore books, I create them.

@MrTwat444 so? this shit is a real sport not the fucking WWE. grow up before iron mike came along all fighters came to win by points until they found the oppurtunity to KO.

Okay, a lot of folks say Penn is a bad sport. . . . and he is in a way.
He doesn't like losing. He doesn't accept losing. He hates losing more than most people.
I like the guy and understand his attitude.
