A review of the release candidate of Linux Mint 13 Cinnamon Edition that sports Cinnamon 1.4 on top of all the Mint goodies you've come to expect from the Mint team, plus this is a Long Term Support release as it is based off Ubuntu 12.04. This is a great release for the new user, as it provides a traditional user experience and customisation abilities that easily outmatch Gnome 3. Highly recommended.

i have a old neighbor whos quite old and his computer a compaq with intellpentium 3 processor 996mhs 512 ram his system is locked up with a virus . so i was going to put a linux system in and wipe the computer by installing linux but it will not except a program of the cd player. so how do i get past that issue and put linux mint 13 which is small into his computer

Linux Mint is the most user friendly and best Linux distribution for newbies. I nowadays install mostly Mint, not Ubuntu, to computers of my friends and relatives.

linux mint 13 looks like a system made of kids; i installed linux mint 13: good compatibility with multimedia and office formats, but I could not make a internet connection (net cable) when I wrote my password and client; the folders looks good but the interface is nothing compared with explorer gui from windows

Mint 14 wouldn't even install so mint 13 mate is my choice. It is long term support as well!
