The Greek government says its working on an action plan to reverse a deepening financial crisis which is putting a strain on the eurozone.
Shares continued to fall in Athens after rating agencies downgraded Greeces credit worthiness, because its debt far exceeds the rules laid down by the European Central Bank.
The Finance Minister insisted that Greece was not the next Iceland.

  • so,Greece is'nt sinking?is'nt 33% of greece on the dole?is'nt 33% of the greek population these well connected,over paid,lazy,do nothing socialist public sector employees that retire 50 w/full benifits and Riot on the streets if anyone dares take that away?YES!1st,the greeks that are not lazy or connected get stuck with huge taxes,then these lazy socialists expect EU/GERMANY to pay their way. wealth re-distribution never works because the German money cow will stop giving you milk! TRY WORKING!

  • It seems that this proves that the Euro-Socialist economic model doesn't work when the bils come in. You can't have govt. sponsored Christmas every day. Looks cute on paper but it just doesn't work.

    many economist are saying that USA "recovery" is done only due.... Obama and Bernanke ability to print money.

    So..... let's see what will happen in the next 2 -3 months. so far Germany and friends are committing $33 billions !! just for Greece.

  • @arka67 The Euro is going lower promarily because the dollar has started a strong up trend,

    USA was the first to lower rates and get out of the recession, now they raised rates, the dollar rally will continue, and we will see Euro/USD at 1.20 soon, regardless what greece does
