The Mayans built the temple so that at this time ,every year, the shadow going down the steps looks like the feathered serpent God going into the underworld. Pretty awesome math skills needed for that little trick.

Translation: Like every business for the ignorant, ask yourselves where all that money goes from the money that is coming in. For my native Mayan people -- not a cent. It all goes exclusively to the Spanish executive, while exploitation of the Mayan people continues to be a shameful spectacle. On that day, not even the native Mayan people are let in, nor given any priority -- to see the accomplishments of their ancestors. It is a shame! --
