2d/hand drawn/3d objects/stop-motion animation... This animation was about playing about with processes, for me. I wanted to see what would happen if I built a 3d-ish set for a 2d film, and photographed it as usual, frame by frame in stop motion. This got quite fiddly at times, trying not to move the real objects whilst moving the 2d cut outs. I left the white border around them as usual, as I like that there is still a distinguish-ment (is that a word??) between real and not-real.
It is very short again, and I'm still unsure about my editing. I tried to create a sense of pace with the black flickering but I'm not sure that it works.
The idea is just about back-alley noise and violence in animals. I've never tried to animate animals before.
And I'm going to end this long spiel now. Just watch, let me know what you think of the process used, as there isn't really a narrative in this one as such, like there usually is.
woo this good :):)
