New Zealand being an isolated country at the bottom of the world relays on a healthy environment - or at least the perception of it - for a healthy economy. Any economic hardship we're about to face has been caused by those same people who have been telling us it's best to give the control to them for economic growth and stability. YEAH RIGHT.

Yeah I agree with you there, no-one should be prosecuted for defending themselves and the more deterrent the better. Just as long as it doesn't come to people carrying weapons of any kind around. Just the other day some kids in Palmerston (not Palmerston North, little Palmerston in the South Island) pulled a knife on a teacher! :S

They will never lose votes because they are what they are, politically correct in every way. But thats where their biggest issue is, they talk alot about health, well being, the enviourment yet never talk about the things that actually make a country run. Do you really believe THEY are going to be the ones to pull us out of economic hardship, or improve the business industry.YEAH RIGHT

They are more likely to lessen it because of the 'CARBON FOOTPROINT' it causes.

Please,I never said anything about having guns.

What I really mean is that if someone attacks you/rapes you/robs you, if in the process of defending yourself they get injured or die there should be no liability on the person being assaulted originally.

This will be the biggest deturrent of criminals away from commiting crime. Knowing that there may be a chance that it will end very very wrong and that they withdraw their human rights when they impead into others.

I don't know about kill, non-lethal shots only. Shoot in the foot or the arm etc, no-one has the right to kill. Otherwise sooner or later someone will get trigger happy and shoot someone who didn't deserve it.
