Yes, they still do songs like this, just listen to Knopfler's latest albums. Look for the albums Get Lucky (check out "Piper to the End"), Kill to get crimson, Privateering.

Mark Knopfler was the man, the song, the beat, the voice and the band. He was everything. See him play like an angel and see the other band members look like they were force-pulled into the music helplessly.

one of the best guitarist ever if not the best!!!. I have liked this guy sense I was a new born in my baby book which is now 30 years old my mom put Dire Straits as he first musical tune I rocked out to at probably age 1!!!
