Bob Schieffer on Nadal Malik Hasan: Muslim or "Religious Nut?"

On "Face The Nation," Bob Schieffer poses a question to Sen. Lindsey Graham about Major Nidal Malik Hasan. "Do you think the fact that this man was a Muslim" contributed to his attack on Fort Hood soldiers. "It's looking more and more like he was sort of a religious nut," he continued. "Christian religion has its full helping of nuts, too..."

"I hope that's not he case, Bob," Graham says. "Let's don't accuse people of giving him a pass because he's a Muslim."

Sen. Jack Reed responds: "I agree entirely with Sen. Graham. This is not about theology, this is about doing your duty as a soldier."

And Armed Services Committee Chairman Rep. Ike Skelton says: "We should not rush to judgment... The truth will come out."

Christian nuts don't generally blow up discos and nightclubs in Tel Aviv. They genrally don't blow up embassies. They generally don't hijack airplanes and fly them into tall buildings.
