A while ago and I do apologize I was asked to make a video on making drums. Sorry I was so late for making it. I've been messing around and finally decided to do it. I was asked to do drums that are more house rather then trance but, think Glenn Morrison. Nothing complicated and nothing hard to understand. 10 minute video on how to make simple drum patterns that will pass you off as a good producer.

Basic knowledge really is all that is required and a sample set of your own. I will not endorse a sample set and I do not provide any samples.

Good luck!

  • At 6.53 sounds awesome! Could you do a tutorial some time about how you're putting those chords together? Are you doing it all on the fly just by ear or what?

  • Improvising on a keyboard

  • hey, are you using vengeance sound packs?

also, the lead sound you are using in sylenth, is that a preset? and did you open the cutoff at 6:52? that sounds beautiful man

    please let me know

  • @asjoo Yes to both, The preset was Something "mouse" I can't remember.

  • Im not dissing enyone here now, but basically what im getting from this video is that all you need is a basic drum loop and damn sexy sounding samples.

Throw in some sidechain, lots of delay and reverb and then some autofilter cutoff, also some white noise.

    Sounds sexy by the way

  • Hey! thanks for the tut, really helpful!

  • where can i get those synth's?

  • Dude...I was looking for tutorials on Pro Logic and when I heard your video at 6:52 it gave me chills! So dope a rope!!!!

  • I love this guy "find one that doesn't sound retarded"

  • Those who ask for chords in Logic tutorial videos - just look down at the transport bar, because the chord names are displayed as they are played. In the case of 6:52, it looks like: C5 Ma7, F, Gm, Gm7 (hard to tell at 480p).

    Great tutorial, by the way!

  • OKAY mr. deadmau5 lol....

  • Can anyone tell me any good house kicks in logic?

  • Great tutorial. I currently only have logic sounds. How should i go about getting drum sounds like the ones you use in this video? They're great.

    thanks
