As for the role of a prick, he's very well written, though. To keep him alive you need to take care that you don't step over his poor ego. I'm not sure does all speech skill checks or only skill check dialog choices trigger his hostility, this is because Dean Domino takes all skill of player as personal insult: it looks like somebody knows more than him and makes him look like he knows less, and that isn't something he can accept. But that describes his personality very well.

@19thHour Domino is really vicious kind of prick. If you manage to be in his good side for the whole game, and that's real difficult, he'll tell you all the details about the casino heist that he had tried to pull of 200 years ago at the end of "Curtain call at the tampico" quest. He didn't even want money: he only wanted to humiliate Sinclair and crush his spirit, and thought best way to do it would robbing the casino with help of Vera Keyes. Have to say, that's a sonofabitch you love to hate.
