Janet and Yvon started Le Barn Appetit in 1987, and they've been serving satisfied customers every summer since. Yvon, the chef, originally from Belgium, came to Alaska in 1966.

I spent 2 months in Alaska, this is the best place I stayed and ate at. They are super friendly and interesting people and would be eating there right now if I could.

Our family & friends have visited Yvon and Janet several times each summer for over 15 years. They are fantastic conversationalists and each one of them has a fascinating life story to tell. Their food is the best; the crepes are huge as well as healthy and delicious. They are also one of the best deals in Alaska to boot. Try it-you'll like it!!

Yvon makes the world's best crepes, period. To enjoy such a delicious treat in the company of this wonderful gentleman, in the beautiful setting of Janet & Yvon's lovely home, is an experience to treasure forever!
