Army Generator

This is a video of a Army MASH unit generator that I picked up at an auction and restored. It produces 220 & 110 volts - 60 AMP draw. It is 1500 KW. Great for keeping the house going during power outages.

Yep- no multi-viscosity oil. It's the biggest mistake people when they buy old 2-stroke powered trucks. Run them with multi-vis and they'll go through oil like it's nothing.

Start up that screaming 2 cycle detroit in that neighborhood!!!! Let alone let run all night during a power outage!!!! You better be able to withstand dirty looks from your neighbors !!!!!!!!!!

Is the engine painted white to make leaks easier to find?

It is a 2-71 Detroit Diesel that produces 15,000 watts or 15kw. Sounds sweet-it will last longer then you! Be sure to only use straight 40 weight oil in it-no multi viscosity.
