maybe the water line supplies the fish tanks as well as the fountain. If I owned a store, you can be sure the water would be running in a circuit which would include the toilet, fish tanks, and sinks and fountains. That's just me though....

Underneath the fish tanks (Behind those bottom panels) There is system of machines that chemically alter the water before adding it to the tank system (internal tank water), but first the tap water is separated via the plumbing. :-P Funny idea though. Makes me thirsty.
