I guess the routes are similar in terms of how cold it gets. Basically it is cold during the summit day before sunrise when it could be -25C / -15 F and windy at the summit. The rule of thumb for clothes is three layers of pants, and five layers on your upper body including windproof jacket. Warm headgear / ballaclava / gloves. Medium boots are ok.

is marangu route considered the coldest and others warm? what clothes would you recomment? i am going in 10 days?
