You obviously had bad experiences at church, but ranting about it on Youtube will accomplish nothing. There are always pastors with pure motives and others with a deceitful heart. From your description, your church was a cult. There are many denominations that are corrupt. UPC, 7th Day Advent, Jehovah's Witness etc I don't think you should stop going to church because of one man. Pray to God for wisdom (James 1:5) to discern good from evil and look for a church beneficial to you.

Something that has helped me out is just being open with the Lord about your feelings, especially when you are overwhelmed. Read Psalm 142. David felt overwhelmed a lot, but he was a man after God's heart. Ask and you shall receive, it is all in His timing.

If you want to relate to the Holy Spirit, then live a HOLY life because that is His first name. As for the SPIRIT, that is His last name and belongs to Him. Just trust in His goodness and know he is working inside you. :).

I'm not trolling, I have read the bible all the way through,

also google the skeptics annotated bible, it's the king james version, but all the contradictions and errors are highlighted and explained. There are so many inaccuracies and immoralities in the bible its laughable.Oh have I ever questioned the bible, its garbage. If you want the explanation just check out the skeptics annotated bible, and go all the way through. Statistically speaking more atheists have read the bible than christians

Ever wonder why you feel compelled to search christian sites and troll? If you are questioning God search for him. Checkout the bible don't be afraid to question it but you owe it to yourself to try. I like to look at the archeology vs. the bible.. You will be surprised. Not one christian was born christian we searched for answers and God did prove himself. Also prophecy is a huge portion of Biblical faith.

The Scriptures tell ministers to preach not themselves, but Christ and Christ crucified. Counselors counsel, motivational speakers motivate, but ministers should preach the BIble, chapter by chapter, verse by verse. Those who don't like that type of preaching need to read the Bible and understand that there is no other type of preaching.
