@ChronicGod420 I put the quotes around the word "invented" because while I knew he didn't invent it, many outside the ghettos think of him as the inventor. I too wish people listened to him and that album especially. Too many people are afraid of anything outside what they call normal.

@davekeays During Death Row, he definitely had some gangsta lyrics and gangsta songs, but he's still far from being an inventor. But Me Against the World should be hid definitive albums. I wish people would pay more attention to that album.

@ChronicGod420 My bad. I thought I heard a change in his style, but the gangsta-type lyrics is what sticks in peoples minds- I know that is what I thought until I started paying attention to him a few years ago. I wish I had listened back when he was around and I was young enough to fully enjoy it.

@davekeays Pac wasn't a gangtsa rapper. And that wasn't his next CD. That was 4 years later. And I thought that a lot Pac's songs (even Pre-Death Row) had pretty funky beats and West Coast lyrics. Like Strictly 4 My Niggaz, I Get Around, Young Niggaz, I'm Gettin' Money (Original) etc...

@heshbear Tupac was no gangsta...he was a rebel...kids these days keep confusing the two.Tupac made social- political rebellious music hense why he had no criminal record before he began recording music. His music has more 'original' Blues influences than any other 'rapper' to date. blues-->reggea-->singjay (toasting)-->Rap ( by then the music had no 'soul' but was the same spoken words as toast just no soul) except for few rappers like tupac who admired what really made Blues BLUES!!.

This song is sad. Makes me think of a friend I knew since high school who is a young single mom now. It kind of hurts when people get themselves in certain situations like that and u stuck watching on the sidelines and can't do much.
