error 2: the dog shouldn't explode, it should just dry out.
true fact 2: The heat generated by the friction caused by the microwaves will, if the dog is left in there too long, cause the water to evaporate into gas. Gas takes up more room than liquids and therefore would need more room. As most mammals are mostly water, a whole load of gas would be created. The dogs skin will prevent this gas from reaching the outside atmosphere, creating a pressure chamber which could = explosion

Yes - we did not microwave the cat - the efffects were done digitally.
