  • @pascalalainbergeron dude relax.

    you can learn C++ in my 3 lines though ;D

    1. search google for "Thinking in C++" then download the pdf.

    2. get a free C++ IDE like Bloodshed Dev-C++

    3. Read the book and do the code in the IDE[Dev-C++].

    that is all buddy.

    Another way is to watch thenewboston youtube C++ tutorials

    Good luck

  • Hi thanks for taking the time and trouble to watch its very much appreciated and yes you are correct, its just habit, it was only an example to show students how to use telnet from home to creat a simple hello world type program, they also use threading so that this leads on to testing the the program has worked by checking to see if the program has finished correctly by returning in this case a 1 regards John

  • Lol, why u write return if u don't have a function were u have to return a value. U declared main as void so there is non-sense to return a value because u don't have to whom to return, 1 additional operation!

  • Yes I know, it was only to joke a little ;-)

  • why so shocked ? Its possible if he has a shell, or has an account on remote server.

  • yes old and mad also connect vie XDMC and SSH, thanks for taking the time to comment its really appreciated and what a great site you have regards John
