When you think of a pure point guard names like Magic, JKidd and more recently CP3 come to mind because all these PG's always first look to create for their teammates with their great vision and craftyness, they are great leaders, possess a high basketball IQ and can knock down the open J. These are all qualities that Youssef has in his arsenal and what made Champlain St-Lambert head coach John Dangelas recruit the 6 feet point guard from the PX Knights.
On a PXK team that featured some of the best players in the province with 2 of them heading down south to washington to play HS ball and 2 more that were highly recruited here in the cegep circuit Youssef ended up being the team MVP. His head coach Henry Wong chose him because Youssef was the engine that had the team running to an undefeated regular season (30-0) and he was the most consistent player all season long. He believes he will excel at the cegep level because of his work ethic and he thrives to be the best everytime he steps on the court.
With all his PG skills Youssef is also a good man to man defender that has a sixth sense for roaming the passing lanes and anticipating passes that lead to steals and easy baskets. To be an impact player at the next level the young PG must bulk up to become stronger and improve his mid-range game. -DvD23
