i recorded this off tv in 1991, its amazing the tape is still allright today. it contains mostly music videos from the 80's since the 90's just began then. you can see robert palmer, zz top, tina turner, cyndi lauper, the cars, bruce springsteen,def leppard, talking heads..and many many more. i was a compulsive "taper" in those days, i would wait and get a tape ready to record historic moments on TV. looks like it pays off nearly 20 years later.

Today's MTV should be renamed as CTV as in CrappyTV. I missed the old MTV!

Why didn't MTV remember their roots on their 30th anniversary celebration....wait they didn't do that their original channel, they played a marathon of Jersey Shore >:(
Thanks to other 24/7 music video stations (TheCoolTV) I am able to name ALL of those 80s music videos :D (19 year old)

When time machines are invented, here is my to-do list:
1. Go back in time to 1981 to warn the original MTV vj's about the new MTV. When they laugh and say that is impossible, I give them photo evidence.
2. Apply for a job as a vj in 1990-late 90s and prevent rap and pop from rising in popularity; instead, I give more time to play hard rock, heavy metal, grunge, and 80s-mid 90s pop hits.
3. Go to 1994, prevent Kurt Cobain's suicide.
4. Kill Justin Bieber.
5. Order = restored.

@IwantmyMTVback Also, you never acknowledge the real cause, the root of MTV's demise. Reality TV shows. It's not rap, it's not pop music that's the problem or any style of music. After all, it was 'music television'. It's supposed to be agnostic. What it was never supposed to be, though, was a voyeurism channel.
