What proof do we have that these dire predictions from computer models are correct? There is no proof, in fact they are wrong. During the Dinosaur period there were 4 to 5 times more CO2 in the atmosphere than today, but despite this, the average temperature was more or less the same as today - and on top of all this, the biodiversity was at an all time high - so no mass extinguishing of plants and animals occurred and neither was a tipping point reach regarding temperature.

@ryanrayonec Can you show me any reliable source that presents evidence that we have been cooling for nine years? Because all the sources that I follow (and trust me, there's quite a number) report the exact opposite.
-
@mutantreveal But we've been cooling for 9 years. How can you use the term "cause the current warming" when we have been cooling for 9 years? Explain that one Einstein.

And, are you kidding me...? You mean destroying decades of data, *fudging* all the data to fit their model (which included erasing the Medieval Warm Period from History, and creating that ridiculous hockey stick effect in the last decade), colluding to destroy people's careers; you really mean that was 'misbehavior'.
Oh please.
Well, get ready for poverty ('austerity') in the name of... fake changes in the weather.
In the name of *hot air*. Even that is a joke...

*sigh*
No, it was not a typo. They quoted a WWF advertising bulletin, that said the Himalaya would be completely melted in 30 years. When they were finally caught at it, they made up that typo lame excuse. Business as usual. It was similar to what they did on Amazongate, quoting WWF propaganda bulletins as scientific evidence.
Climategate: no, it was not 'a couple' of scientists. It was at least four dozens of them, at Hadley CRU, NOAA, GISS/NASA. The groups running the IPCC.

@ryanrayonec I didn't say that the sun has no relationship to the climate, I said that the current changes in the climate are not the result of solar activity. I cite a recently published paper showing that a 2007 publication linking solar activity with the changes in climate incorrectly analyzed the data; when correctly analyzed there is no correlation of the type which could cause the current warming.

@mutantreveal What did I say that isn't reasonable? What did I say that has no factual backing? You aren't talking to a wall where you can use the same argument every time without fail and talk in circles like a lobbyist without ever actually saying anything with me. So far you've said that the sun doesn't affect the climate and you accuse me of saying things with no factual backing. Can you get a group of scientists to tell me that there is no connection between the sun and our climate?
If he's wrong, okay so what, we spent too much money on stuff that wasn't necessary.
But what if he's right?
