TR3 - High Security Compound Walkthrough (1/3)

Game play of the second Nevada level in Tomb Raider 3, High Security Compound. Includes all (2) secrets and known pick-ups, no medipaks used.

Overall, this is a great level and one of the game's most original ones as well. You start with no guns and just a medipack, so you have to use other cons [prisoners] to kill the guards or you have to avoid them.

Is this the same level that's found on a demo of the game. You're in a prison but most of the level is totally different, might just be an early build?

Tomb Raider III has two demos: the first half of Jungle (of the India levels) and Coastal Village (of the South Pacific levels). The short, stand-alone sequel to TR3, Tomb Raider Lost Artifact, has a demo of Highland Fling. Said level contains some sections that may look like prisons.

Otherwise, try looking into the TR2 demos, that might be what you're looking for. Failing that, I wouldn't know...

It's definitely not a TR3 demo.

lol :P. I just found out this new move while preparing for this walkthrough! Initially, I thought it was an exclusive move in the TR3 Jungle demo. Since it has a few graphical differences from the PC full version.

@gogetatenks43 i think i had that demo too. the beginning is similar to hsc. the rest was area 51. was the demo disc released in the 90s?

@gogetatenks43 are you talking about the Demo on the Jampack demo disk? I had that disk, it was TR 3 , in a prison and you had to launch a big rocket and walk on the top of a train and then on an UFO and stuff...

1)The first prison guard enters the room and leaves the door open.

2)When you are hanging from falling outside from your cell, again the same guard instead of pressing the alarm , for unknown reason he tries to leave the place.

3)When you release other prisoners by just pressing buttons outside their cells (its a security prison) , still we have no alarm

4)In a cell ,if you push some crates you are on the roof.

5)A bunch of unarmed prisoners can take out melee armed guards in 2 seconds

Found it! It was a beta demo, came with playstation magazine maybe. The level was Area 51, but you start in a prison cell! The video is here: watch?v=Fxy5xb5fpYg
