Soy estudiante de ingenieria de petroleo en Venezuela y ya estoy por terminar mi carrera, cuando vi el caso de este pozo, que no tiene precedentes, pense en cuanto daño se pudo evitar en el sentido de perdidas humanas, daño al ecosistema marino e incluso perdidas economicas si hubieran mas avances en la tecnologia de preventores BOP, la verdad es que el tema me ha interesado bastante e incluso pienso hacer mi tesis basada en el diseño de alternativas a la falla de los preventores.

I've researched this quite a bit and I think it's fair to say that the economic and ecological aspects are going to dwarf the exxon valdez incident....however I have to agree with an article I read from CNN saying that the overreaction and sensationalism involved are only going to make matters worse...we should be searching for alternative fuel sources and dumbass regulators and greedy oil magnets are responsible...but you have to give it due diligence before forming any real opinion man
