great video AlmostHydrogen! i have found that the consensus of everyone that starts with the smack design runs into the same heat and steam from heat problem. you will overcome... great video and excellent workmanship!!! i personally rate these cells for 1 to 1.5 hour run times. but they still have the steam problem. i overcame these problems, you can too!!! now i can run my designed cell 24/7, 1,500 miles or one month what ever comes first without any service to my cell or extra water required.

mount your studs below water level.

ss is a bad conductor of electricity. if you can make those strips a bit bigger that mite take care of it. i battled this same problem in my first few designs. your problem is in the connection. somewhere. if you get time check out my videos

Hi Dan, I did crank down on the bolts/nuts, used lock washers & will use 2 nuts to secure the positive & neg leads = nut, lead connector, nut).
Again thanks for a watching & keeping an eye for for me. I appreciate it a lot.

hello. you can take care of your heat problem by soldering the wire to your leads instead of crimping them. sounds crazy but that 90% of your problem.

I did solder all my connections and have no soldered connections with the cell. I the cell, a couple of ss strips that are bolted to the cell & they run to the ss bolts that go thru the top of the lid.
I think the problem might be the ss strips I used are too thin? Not sure, but the problem is still there & I'm working on it. Any other help or tips would be great.
thanks

...if your leads are lose, that's where your hho probably went through. i already wrote to you something about the heat for the 08/06/08 clip, but if you chose to stay with this configuration, you'll have to use cpvc (not pvc) containers. cpvc stands temperatures up to 180F.

thanks for the tip - I will check into that cpvc.

Glenn here if you want to stay with a clear hose go to the home center they have a stronger hose it looks like it has strings twined in it much stronger that what I use and no problems yet. I also use brass fitting and have not had any problems. 3/8 fittings. Also I put a temp gauge in my cell we live in Florida so I worried about the heat. That works good too. Keep tring.

Hi Glenn, Thanks for the tubing tip, I will keep that in mind. I am currently rebuilding my cell, but I will keep trying.
