My dad's 1979 Mazda 323-
This little beauty was purchased new by my dad on October 11th, 1979. It has been used continuously since then.
Everything is original and working. The transmission fluid has been changed once. The engine needed a change of rings and a new tuning chain. The gauges are all fully operational and after thirty years the clock is still ticking and the cigarette lighter ready to glow.
The engine purrs like a kitten and my dad swears that it starts and sounds like it did when he first drove it out of the show room.
Our cherished family Mazda is currently doing 142,000 miles and counting
