  • will it speed my pc up

  • @terrelldaniel No, not at all.

  • @davomrmac why not?

  • @terrelldaniel This is an external storage device, it will have no effect on the speed of your PC.

  • @davomrmac it should because of the size of it ................ how bout if i install win vista on it and format my other two drives will it be better ?

  • @terrelldaniel This is an external hard drive used for storing files on, your Windows OS is best installed on your internal drive. I stand by what I said, this will not make your PC faster, unless your internal drive is completely full and you use this to transfer files across to make more space on your main drive.

  • my friend gave me one but it has no usb does it work with any kind of usb or do i need to order a certain one online?another question do these have a password or can they be locked i want answer asap plz???

  • its about 80 us dollars now at Frys, is it worth the money?

  • @VzaqR Yes laptops or desktops.

  • I buy one... and the conection usb 3.0 sucks... It really does... my data cable brake with no more of a few months... I have to buy one MicroUsb data cable

  • @LazyJammer No. This is wrong. Clearing your HDD will not have a major boost on performance. Unless you have less then 1 GB left you should be find. Defragmenting the drive will do you some good. Otherwise, the HDD only effects the boot time and load time. But you can't speed that up by removing files. You speed that up by getting a faster hdd or an SSD.

  • can u use this on xbox 360?

  • nice!

  • ive seen you have told some one else that this doesnt make your pc faster but say i was to transfer half of my files to this then would it be faster and as long as i have it plugged in then i should still be able to do stuff eg for gaming and stuff thanks

  • @davomrmac Well.. tbh.. storing files on an external hard drive is obviously going to speed your computer up if u were to wipe ur computer and store all ur files on that external hard drive... so your kind of just being awkward .. your better off saying "yes it does speed up your computer by letting u put all your files onto the hard drive so you can get a way better performance"... thats why anyone would buy an external hard drive.. cause they own a laptop and want to wipe it.
