(Cold Calling) leads...the mainstay of the insurance and brokerage business for years. Maybe your industry too. After you go through your friends and family you wind up finding out what I did, I'm the most ambitious person I know!

What about (buying leads)? Ever done that? Spending time and money talking to people trying to (win a laptop) or (win an ipod). Making every effort to be nice to someone that can't string two coherent sentences together!

Watch closely and see if you can relate to the effort here...and the results. Do you think that having (free leads) and (free traffic) running after you might be a better way? If you still want to (buy leads) and hope for the best, go ahead.
There are plenty of people out there ready to (sell targeted leads) to you by the thousands. I'll let you decide.

  • If you get a good list of people that are targeted to your industry ie. opp seekers AND have a good script that you say with confidence and belief you will make LOTS. Cold calling is not dead...just have to do it properly.

  • I guess it depends on what you sell. I'm in real estate and I cold call and I know many realtors who do the same. Since about 70% of home owners are up side down on their mortgage (at least here in Las Vegas), we get a lot of listings, buyers and refferals all from cald calling. I also get a lot of people thanking me for calling them and offering my services.

  • you cold calling cunts are the scum of the earth! Get cancer and die soon!

  • @citychap888 referrals is the way to go....then house carding or leads from shows etc...cold callings the last resort and when you do get one then give the client an incentive to give you some referrals...ask for at least 50 names for eg and you may end up with say 20 at least......the smart salesman is never out of a job and I know it coz i live it and am now expanding into Malaysia from next week... you learn by doing it not from just theory

  • It depends on the person calling..there some who have the personality and voice etc and can put a smile in their voice and theres some who cant...Im ok to cold call but i have two girlswho can get you a qualified lead every 10 minutes ... all mr reps have to do is turn up
