I tried experimenting with soft bodies, but found using cloth gave a better result. A main challenge was manipulating individual vertices and having the rest of the curtain move with it. This was achieved through assigning vertices as a hook to an empty, then animating that empty. To save time I animated one side then mirroed it.

  • lol ima need some tutorials from you!! idk how to move things without clicking bake or how to do anything in real time. but love the curtins!!!

  • you should check out the tutorials on youtube, sup3rboy has a ton of vids. one thing i'm finding hard to learn but helpful once you know it is the quick-key commands. all the books i have on blender constantly go through explaining all the quick keys which is hard at first to memorize what they do, but once you know them it make modeling things a lot easier
