@beachbum9998: Warm up the Crosley and clear my social calendar...

I know of a place near my town that has a good selection of Crosley engines...if i get enough money I would like to build a motorcycle with one of these engines.

is it for sale?

39 - 41 crosley was powered by a 2 cylinder aircooled motor. The 39-41 was totally different from it's post war siblings

The COBRA COpper BRAzed tin blocks were phased out by 1949. My 47 sedan has the cast iron motor in it as well. The factory would retrofit the earlier cars with the cast blocks. According to the club site a lot of tin block motors survive and are being restored. The mechanical brakes are lots of fun for people with STRONG legs . But they work . It's good to see one tooling around on Utube

What a beaut!!!! :D I love obscuro cars like these. Is this a pre-war model with the twin cylinder Waukesha engine? It sounded like an air-cooled :)

I got a kick out of this video because my Dad had one when I was a kid-- here is what was scary--it was the "family car" for a while !!
Thanks for posting this.
They sold this car at department stores alongside the Crosley-made radios and appliances if i'm correct. Does this one have the stamped copper engine block?

the stamped tim blocks were the early cars I am not 100% but I think '39-'41 the later models had a cast iron block. mine is a '47
