Against a Welsh team full of stars, including Ian Rush, Mark Hughes, Gary Speed, Neville Southall and the young sub Ryan Giggs, it was little to do for the Faroes, although the guests did have some good possibilities to score, most notably when the Everton keeper made a great save from Jan Dam close range shot.
