My hair growth, 2009

There are a couple of reference pics here, but you can see the progress throughout the year. What surprises me is how much my hair grew during the summer and fall, and how much henna contributed to its strength and shine. I'm glad I had almost monthly pictures taken, because it really helps me to see the progress. I had my hair trimmed twice during 2009, mainly for shape. I had almost no split ends since I'm using very little heat and twice-yearly texturizer around my (very frizzy) hairline. I took extra care this summer, since the Vegas sun is brutal (and yes, there is a difference! Only Phoenix beats us!).

I refuse to wear the post-menopausal helmet hair!

How sweet you are! No, I'm not 60 yet, but will be 58 in January. When I'm 60 (in two years ... the length of my planned journey), I want people to be *really* amazed! Thanks!

If I hadn't had pictures taken, I wouldn't have realized how much it had grown. Everyone should keep a journal to see the progress. It's very encouraging!
