From building boom to bust, India was part of a larger real estate bubble created partly by loose monetary policies.

Al Jazeera's Matt McClure reports from a Delhi suburb where both investors and labourers are losing hope fast as cash-strapped builders halt work on housing projects.

  • Hahaha thats funny

  • Gurgaon is NOT a delhi suburb....its another city in another state.

  • lol wtf? $400k luxury condo, but the workers get $3 a day to buld it?

    lol

  • India must also built affordable home for the middle classe people.

  • prices still are high, builders are still on a illusion that the market will bounce back soon. We are going to see a decade of slowdown. The faster the builders drop their prices to 2003 level the better for them. Greed of builders are killing everyone,

  • so sad
