BIOSTAR NF61S Micro AM2 SE (Ver.6.1) works with 4GB

The Biostar NF61S AM2 SE supports 4GB of memory, not 2GB as stated in the manual

which was really a nice suprice.

At first you see the end of a ram test at boot-start, after that i made some changes in the bios. You see that the BIOS recognises the whole 4GB. A restart follows without quickboot, so the ram is tested completely, slow.

The next Question is, how about a Phenom X4? I thought a 9150e/9350e would work - thoght i am not brave enough for this... ;-^

I tried it with a Phenom X4 9350e - it did not work...

Man I updated myne realize afther I open my pc that is a NF61S Micro AM2 SE, updated & realize that was the same bios that I have cpu-z: 6.0PG Date :10.18.2007 , except that on biostar site this was uploaded on 2007-10-30 name N61sma18.bsa . I don't know why you refere as Ver.6.1 , but if you can confirm it's the same as myne can you tell me what type of 2gb ddr2 memory did u used? , I curentli have 1x2gb kingston .

Eh, I was wondering what type or kind of ram did u use? i have this motherboard too and need to upgrade the ram asap.

Can anyone recommend a 4 gb ram I could use for it ? also do programs use all the 4 gb properly, i know it says slow in the descr but is that just only for the start up?

You try it with windows, i mean you really use te 4 gb, becouse perhaps the motehrboard recognise the 4gb but it only can use 2?¿ :S
